Absinthe Academy

Absinthe Academy is a powerful rock band in the tradition of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Clash, and The Police. Singer/Guitarist Chris Brooks belts out soulful lyrics and Lennon-esque melodies. Bassist Drew Milford roams the stage like a modern day Sid Vicious, always moving, playing full blast. Drummer Ruben Jackson lays down thunderous drums ala Tony Williams and John Bonham.

With the help of their loyal confidant Nigel Savauge, the band recorded their album at the world famous 4th Street Studios in Los Angeles, the same studio where Fiona Apple, No Doubt and Incubus waxed musicallus.

After appearing on the CBS television show Joan of Arcadia in early 2005, the band took their talents to the streets, touring up and down the West Coast and through the Southwest. Their live performances harken back to the days of Led Zeppelin and The Clash, on the edge, but giving a sense of controlled chaos. Now you know.
