Like a stiletto to the head, Apocalipstick knocks you out with their face-melting powerpop! The band thrives in its delicious contradictions and hedonistic fun with catchy songs about being hungover (Faint Memories), breaking up (Fall Apart) and air-headed hot boys, (Pretty Boy). These are the mischievous kids who stole their moms' dresses and crashed their fancy parties, sneaking in swigs of booze between bites of cupcakes. If the Donnas and The Go Go's got in a knock-down, drag-out pillow fight, Apocalipstick would be the party soundtrack.
Brenda Mascara is the smallest member at 61 inches, but don’t let that fool you. She gets height in her jumps and will hair whip you before you can bat an eyelash. Jenna Blush is lead guitarist at the tender age of 19, and delivers searing guitar solos outdone only by the power of her kicks. Jeannette Gloss is a ferocious drummer who's not quite 100 pounds, and Abby Lipstick is a flirtatious front woman who will steal your heart then break it!
Of course the Apocalipstick ladies like gettin' busy! The girls have played at The Rainbow Bar and twice at The Whisky A Go Go. They have opened for Pretty In Stereo at The Whisky's Women Rock Show, Solarcade at The Vault 350 in Long Beach, and Alien Ant Farm at The Pangea Music Festival. Apocalipstick has sold over 100 tickets at both The Queen Mary and their local venue Hogue Barmichaels. They can also be family friendly for The OC Fair, Asian American Expo at The Pomona Fairplex, and corporate gigs for Western Digital, Sage Software, and Scion. In their most recent show, Apocalipstick's high energy performance and musicianship won them third place at The Sam Ash Battle of the Bands.
