She was born in Marvel, AR. and delivered by Dr. Wise. Astra is a rare talent with a lyric-based, melodic sound that is a original blend of her Chicago soul merged with rock and acoustic elements. Her passionate performance style is derived from her days of street performing in Chi-town, incessant touring, and an undeniable devotion to the music.
Since 1996, Astra has released six records on her Rockaway record label including last year's "Battling the Sun" EP and her July 1st release, "Timebomb" recorded at Capricorn Studios in San Diego. She performs live locally and nationally solo/acoustic, and with her full electric band.
