Artist Bio/Description: Bedlem
Bedlem could be summarized in one word: original. The five members of this up-and-coming band are truly one of a kind…both in music and in style. Bedlem was formed in San Diego, California and include Teejay (Singer), Steve (Guitarist), Paul (Drummer), Jay (Guitarist) and Cisco (Bassist). Their collective influences include a diverse mix of artists such as Slayer, the Deftones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Primus, and Nirvana to name a few.
Paul has been playing drums for over a decade and is a native San Diegan. Before joining with Bedlem, Paul performed in several local bands, including Frogsbreath, Empty, and Blackened Days. Cisco, also a native San Diegan is a relative newcomer to the bass, but not to the world of music. He grew up in a musical household with the guitar and drums, and picked up the bass from his father. Teejay has been singing and writing music his entire life. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Teejay has also played in several bands, including Manarson and D.O.Y.K.E. Steve, originally from Salt Lake City, Utah has played guitar since the tender age of 13. Steve began touring when in the band “Victims Willing” in his late teens and went on to serve as a United States Marine having served two tours in Iraq, Steve was able to form a rock band known as “Undecided” and played for his fellow troops in Iraq, a testament of his dedication to his craft.
Since its inception, the five members of Bedlem were immediately drawn to each other both as musicians and friends. It was clear in the early stages of development that these five musicians had something special. Although the members come from different backgrounds, they are bound by their enthusiasm and love for their instruments and for their music. “What I would like to see this band accomplish is a long career in music where we continuously put out great records that stay true to the unique sound we have developed” says Tee jay. Drummer, Paul Addario wants to make sure that the music Bedlem creates generates an emotional connection to its fans and “with as many people worldwide in hopes of giving every individual a unique gift that they can interpret and relate to as their own." It’s clear that Bedlem wants their music and the emotional and creative content to serve as more than mere entertainment.
