Artist Bio/Description: bill
bill was conceived when David Marciano (gold medalist, quantitative analysis N.Y.S.S.O.) became frustrated with the direction of his solo saxophone project (saxaphonic explosion). Determined to succeed he decided to assemble a new band of high powered performers on par with his progressive woodwind approach. Seeking inspiration he turned to a copy of the 1997 Earl L. Vandermeulen High School talent show video where he was reminded of a thaumaturgic performance of Bush's Glycerine by Curtis Hartling (1st Place with Tim Papallardo:1997 Long Island Electronic News Gathering Competition). Dave, knowing Curt's interest in horticulture, was able to entice him to relocate in search of the rarest of all Trachycarpus, the Dwarf Palmetto. With Curt on board as power front man, Dave was one step closer to his goal. Knowing that there was one more piece of puzzle to be found, Dave thought long and hard about who could fill the position. During a more-strenuous-than-usual crystal looping session in his cancer-combating pharmaceutical research lab it hit him. Dave rushed back to his talent show video archive and popped in the 1998 instalment. It was difficult for him to find an act that didn't feature aspiring musician Jonathan Coyle (All County Tennis 1996-98). Coyle had just finished his studies in music at Ithaca College while barley overcoming an acute case of seasonal affect disorder. With the need for steady climate and a shared musical vision, Jon joined David and Curtis in San Diego and bill was born.
