Binary Obsession, The

The Binary Obsession is a rock band, started by Alex Schetter. Prior to its official inception in late 2007, the musical act went by numerous pseudonyms, performing only once, in New Orleans, under the name Alex Schetter. Alex Schetter has been the sole creative force behind the music since 2000, when he began writing music for the project that would later become The Binary Obsession. Although, he has been composing music since the mid 1990s. Schetter began recording his music in 2001. Despite being based out of Los Angeles the music traveled with Schetter to New Orleans from 2004 to 2006, which he credits as a major artistic inspiration. While Schetter has been making music for a long time, it wasn't until early 2007 that it became a focused project and was dubbed The Binary Obsession. The Binary Obsession's sound span across many genres and is comparable to the work of Nine Inch Nails, Peter Gabriel, and Lindsey Buckingham. Alex Schetter recently finished and released the first album for The Binary Obsession, naming it Anonymous, which was originally intended to be the bands name.
