BLUE JUNGLE
Artist Bio/Description: BLUE JUNGLE
Happy fits of rage is what Blue Jungle creates, this fairly new band has more than a burst of moxy and is more punk rock than the first My Bloody Valentine album, Isn't Anything. Vocalist Llesmin drags herself across the stage, screaming "I'm going to make you wish you were dead," then swiftly head bangs as her legs dominate the stage. Melodian, tambourine, maraca, “double-jointed,” player, Shannon guards her microphone due to random acts the audience members contribute to the show. Witnessing the intense ear throbbing sound of two lead guitars by Nosebleed and Il Count; the simultaneous rotation, of drums, Cory, reminds one of our dearest Tommy Ramone, one will definitely be at awe. A sudden act, a fan jumps on stage and attempts to hang on what appears to be paper shade lamps and collapses. Another joins, this time screaming into the microphone how they were going to “cum on stage.” Their demo doesn’t reflect an inch of their true sound, nor justify the bruises on Llesmin’s knees. - Antifiesta zine
