Cerro Victoria
Artist Bio/Description: Cerro Victoria
Founded by members William (guitar/vocals) and Mark (drums), Cerro Victoria recorded its first album Island of the Sun in the spring of 2006. After performing around Los Angeles with different line ups, Zach (bass) joined the band. Shortly thereafter Cerro Victoria recorded their follow up EP titled, A New Day. Both works are being released on the independent label, Golden Bow Records.
Cerro Victoria’s music is artful, cinematic, intense rock played with superb musicianship and passion. From eerie jams, to extended melodies utilizing French horn and strings, to triumphant rock songs, the music is infused with a certain originality and powerful message. “Part of what we are doing is creating a new space, apart from the machinations of the modern world. Today's landscape is uncertain and sterile, and that can be overwhelming. The idea is to rise against this tide, and that takes strength,” says William. While the music is rooted in the rock genre, it has a unique signature that can only be described as Cerro Victoria.
Cerro Victoria is currently touring the Western U.S.
