Conformity Jones

San Diego-based rock trio born in the garage of a suburban home in Chula Vista. Their influences are just as diverse as their music, with the only common ground is energy and soul. While the guitarist cut his teeth on The Beatles and Stones, the bassist cut lines to Phish, and the drummer cut yards to buy Rage and Chili Pepper albums. Martin Panek - Guitar/Vocals. 33. Born in Chicago, travelled the world around, recorded with bands around the states, and settled in San Diego to spark a late-blooming music career. Chris Hofer - Bass. 24. Philadelphia native, jam band entrepreneur, and surfing novice, would be the hypthothetical love child of James Brown and Flea. Tyson Williams - Drums. 22. Austin native, pocket drummer, superior hitch-hiking skills. The band formed in July of 2006 after Panek found/heard Williams practicing in San Diego's Balboa Park, arguably entertaining or disturbing the park's homeless population. A few months later, Williams introduced Hofer, and a solid jam band was formed. With enumerous material, a setlist was cut and a band name was chosen. Conformity Jones has begun its debut in San Diego, and despite its name, the band possesses a sound even the Jones' couldn't keep up with.
