Covertones is a high energy interactive band, which covers a variety of pop, rock, dance, funk, disco, R&B, and reggae tunes. The band is lead by the sexy, soulful, high powered vocals of Melody Moore. The rest of the band members are: Korrie Paliotto (keyboard/Backing Vocals), Chris McGraw (lead guitar), Mitch McNeel (bass), and Freddy Bejar (drums/percussion)

MELODY MOORE, blends folk, blues, and soul. Her music has been featured on NPR, Desert Highway Radio, and the FTM Podcast Network. Decribed by the press as being "set to take the national stage," and by Variety as an ingratiating natural, she has starred in 3 independent films (one of which she co-wrote and co-edited), released two records, and trecked the Himalayan mountains alone at age 19. Her unique experiences weave conspicuous colorful patterns through her blues inflected songs, which can transform a room into a soft, heavy silence just as easily as they can rouse the inner celebratory deviant. She writes about bums, love, death, drinking beer, having her stuff stolen and her heart broken. With passion and rythmic punctuation, her performance is both engaging and inspiring.

KORRIE PALIOTTO, from a young age remembers hearing the harmonies of blues and jazz in her home. The sounds of Wes Montgomery, BB King, and Stevie Ray Vaughn poured out of her father’s stereo while the more orchestral jazz of old time theatre composers Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, and George Gershwin accompanied her mother’s favorite musicals. But, blues and jazz were not the only musical forces in her life. While in high school, Miss Paliotto discovered an old stack of records hidden away in an upstairs cupboard- records comprising some of the most influential songwriters of the sixties and seventies- Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan to name a few.

CMG or CHRIS MCGRAW is the bands Lead guitarist and newest member. His playing styles have been compared to those of Eric Clapton. Chris is a native San Diegan and an international artist. He has over 10 years in the music world performing and recording with numerous groups.It is from this rich accumulation of experiences that CMG is able to bring what he does to the stage.

FREDDY BEJAR completes the band's sound. Since before Freddy could speak he demanded he sit behind the drummer at wedding parties and other performances. Freddy joined an award winning marching band where he mastered a variety of concert, marching band, and drum line instruments and playing styles. He also sang baritone and played drums for his school’s Show Choirs in which he traveled and entertained people all over the world. Currently, Freddy lays down drum tracks for studio recordings and teaches lessons. His history in string, brass, vocals, percussive instruments and showmanship make him one of the most versatile musicians in our band.

MITCH MCNEEL, the band's bassist is truly the "player's player". Mitch's studies in bass include funk, rock, pop and a variety of other styles. His fusion of style creates a funky, high-energy groove that truly takes the band to next level.

Covertones is a group in which the band's love and passion for music shine through in their performances. What makes Covertones unique is their ability to take cover songs and rearrange them with their own energy which always rocks the house and gets booties shakin!
