David Vaughn
Artist Bio/Description: David Vaughn
David Vaughn was born in San Diego, California on October 5th, 1984. As a child, David performed his favorite songs all over the world from Los Angeles to London and Hawaii to France. At the age of 15 David went with his gut instinct and began writing his own songs. His influences were No Doubt, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna and Alanis Morissette. But he wanted to create his own style so over the years he began honing in on his songwriting and learned the ropes of studio production.
Now 22, David Vaughn is breaking out with his new record “Wired”! The first single off of the set, "You & Me", produced by Ron Harris and Anthony Mazza (Producers for Christina Aguilera & new Geffen artist Joanna) was recorded in Simi Valley’s new recording facility, Big Brother Studios. David also worked with local producer and artist Lee Coulter on half of the album’s tracks. Additionally, AJ Croce guitarist, Michael Bizar co-wrote and produced “The Last Show”, “Mama’s Boy”, and “Religion”.
Over the past year, David has been working in LA with some of the music industry’s best such as Stephanie Ridel (Geffen songwriter for Fergie, Wild Orchid) and Cha’n André (performance director for Destiny’s Child, Paula Abdul, Whitney Houston) for work his songwriting and performance. Though David still lives in San Diego, he doesn’t complain about the constant driving to LA and he claims that he loves San Diego and can’t wait to get his name out to his home town!
David Vaughn and his band are currently booking gigs in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles.
