FUNKTUATION

FUNKTUATION is fast garnering a reputation as San Diego's premiere breakout band. Fusing funk, hip-hop and elements of rock, this 7 piece ensemble is appealing to a melting pot of music fans all over. The band got its start in 2004, although many of its members have been friends and played in various bands going back to 1995. Since its inception FUNKTUATION has already shared bills with such icons such as the Wu-Tang Clan, Don Carlos, Jurassic 5, Living Legends and Redman. In addition, FUNKTUATION has it's ear on artists on the rise rocking shows with only the most talented artists such as Blame One, Chrissy DePauw, Deep Rooted and more. In addition, the band frequently invites world championship level dance crews MOTION SICKNESS and H.D. to rock with them as well. A FUNKTUATION show is filled with instant vintage. Much of their repertoire is penned from within the group and the rest are unique renditions of unlikely classics. Recently, FUNKTUATION has performed a number of shows to benefit the city of which they reside, Oceanside. They performed at the annual Fula Bula Festival to raise money for the music departments of respected Oceanside area schools. The band has been in and out of the studio for the last few months recording what will be their first album.
