Artist Bio/Description: Hawke Auburn
In February of 2004, in Imperial Beach, Ca. Adam Hall (vocals/guitar) and Adriatico Martin (keyboards/vocals) got together to collaborate in writing songs. Both musicians have a taste for classic rock, alternative and 80’s music. Soon after Christian Pedroza (drums) and Alex Monroy (bass) joined in to form a 4-piece ensemble they named Synapse. In the early stages the sound was quite experimental, blending rock rhythms with jazz and latin keyboards, sometimes adding more abstract synth sounds. The band later shifted to rock with a touch of the 70’s and 80’s, but maintaining some of their initial mood.
Synapse played small venues, benefit gigs, bars and cafes, mainly in Tijuana, for about a year and a half, until Alex left the band.
Adam and Adriatico kept meeting regularly to co-write songs and practice. In March, 2006 some tracks were recorded and mixed by Adriatico intended for a demo CD.
It wasn’t until March, 2007 that Diego (bass) and a month later, Brian (drums) joined in to form what is now Hawke Auburn.
