San Diego hip hop artist/poet "id" shakes the foundation of SD hip hop with his political poetry that speaks to the angst of punk rock as well as the conscious attitude of hip hop. He walks the tight-rope between experimental and pop music creating an expolsively raw yet intelligent sound.

Id's debut album, "inkspots...", is expressionist poetry with the revolution sound. Id produces as well as emcees on his debut concept album, describing it as "driving beats and fighting words with the soul of old."

"inkspots..."is an interpretation of the collective human existence and its lumbering movement through the last 229 years. This commentary on the human condition and the conditioning of such, begins with the historical practice of demonizing cultures as a rite of passage necessary to enjoy the ill-freedoms of this country and ends with the monstrous achievements and poisonous ambition of this sleeping giant and its tendency to rocket passed the problems that need to be faced.
