Jameson

Formed in Hollywood, California, in February of 2006, Jameson’s very first EP, Keep the Change has fans hailing them as, “one of the best metal bands to come out of southern California in over a decade!” Jameson has five members (ages 20-23) influenced by heavy metal, blues, jazz, classic/southern rock, grunge and even hip-hop. The genesis of Jameson began when Ryan Dial (guitar) and Dan Ranada (guitar) met at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. Before long, Jason Brennan, Dan’s roommate and a bass student at MI, began jamming with them. The trio wrote the riffs that would become "Keep the Change", Jameson’s first EP. Fortuitously, Matt Bomb, a singer from the New Jersey metal scene exploded on the L.A. landscape and the concussion caught the band’s attention. Matt’s lyrics and vocals kicked it up a notch. Matt introduced the band to his roommate and M.I. percussion student, Chad Keith. Chad’s solid, high-speed, but most of all violent drumming technique gave Jameson the groove that took them to the next level. “We utilized a guitar-driven writing style right up front,” said Dan, who graduates from MI in 2007. Once a good riff is in place, all of the members write their parts for the band. “It’s a style that works for us. We produce metal that’s abrasive and fast, with a groove that can grab hold of any fan, anytime, anywhere.” Now, this quintet of trained musicians brings a high level of professionalism, consistency and energy to their live shows at clubs like The Whiskey A Go-Go in West Hollywood and the Joint in Los Angeles, giving their audience a raucous, once-in-a-lifetime experience each and every time they perform. With their new EP to fuel their fan base, Jameson is hitting the L.A. scene and beyond with their own brand of epic, rock-your-ass-off groove metal. Keep the fucking change.
