Kavena

KAVENA (pronounced with a short "e" sound similar to "vent") means the light in Hawaiian. Kavena is more of a party clique than a band because we believe everyone is equally uncool. I guess we can't play the "new band" card anymore because we're nearly 3 years old. We've been playing out for two. We're almost done writing our second full length album. The four of us are pretty much addicted to performing live. However, we dont always fit in with every lineup/booking. Our scene is "kick rock." If you're not down, you can kick rocks. Not everyone likes us. Those that do like us, like us alot. They are who we exist for. We all have day jobs, and are normal people. This is how we and our friends spend our free time. With radio play and videos, we've been able to play with some extremely talented bands all over San Diego and across California.
