In 2001, several member of a San Diego rasta community banded together to create Bloodfiyah Angles. Their goal wasa and is to use the vehicle of music to uplift the masses and to uphold the notions of international morality, and the preservation of life and family values. Through discipline and dedication, they formed a tight unit which earned the respect of San Diego musicians and live Reggae audiences.
Between 2001 and 2003, the band specialized in roots-based dub and developed a loyal fan base. Their dub music would occasionally be accompanied by a guest lead vocalist of a dub poet. During this time, the band members also, individually performed and recorded with such artists as Johnny Osborne, Mikey Dread, Errol Dunkley, Foundation, Yami Bolo, Tippa Irie, Capleton, Anthony B, Sizzle, Luciano, The Mediations and many more!
In 2003 Bloodfiyah Angles met Kush; who had recently moved to San Diego. From the first rehearsal, it became obvious that the singer and players of instruments had found the perfect match they had been looking for.
Bloodfiyah Angles is Binghi James on kette drum, Jimmy "Captain Kiy" on keyboard, JAH Oil on uitar, Sean "Gibraltar" on bass, Kahz on drums, Shaga "Son of Levy, Son of the Ashanti Bird" on percussion and kette drum.
