Liz Vickers (Albuquerque, NM): A fantastic assault on both the eyes AND ears, Liz has been flooring audiences with her soulful interpretations on rock ‘n roll, proving she’ll take her R&B wherever she can get it. Don’t believe the hype? Come within 10 feet of the stage and decide for yourself.

Kristian Berger (Hartford, CT): Setting the stage with his rhythm guitar, the music takes on a certain heaviness and sultriness whenever Kristian plugs in. His playing is chunky, rhythmic, and at times even barbaric. Even still, he’ll pick up the greasy chunks from off the floor, look at ‘em, and think “Hmmm…I wonder if my hair looks all right?” Is there any question why the band can’t get enough of this lovable guy?

T.D. Christiansen (North Hollywood, CA): Veteran of several bands throughout SoCal, T.D. is the bands resident virtuoso and colorist and provides an endless tapestry of sound. Not only has T.D. mastered the guitar, he is proficient on keys, percussion, and bass. T.D. is arguably the most versatile player in the group and you owe it to yourself to hear him play. His very lyrical lead lines take the band down paths less traveled all while navigating with the precision of a scout leader.

Matt Pierce (Detroit, MI): Plays bass using an improvised, minimalist approach. Rather than picking his points of attack, he often grooves in the spaces in between. Pierce’s big, brawny, wood-smoked bass lines often drag the band’s sound into darker, edgier places. Once you digest it all you’ll be sure to be on your feet shakin’ it for the ladies.

As a group, Mercy Road is much more than the sum of its parts. Fusing Rock ‘n Roll, R&B, Blues, Funk, Soul, and Jazz, the band’s strength lies in its authenticity, professionalism, and musicianship. If they’re playing it, they love it, as evident by the tunes created and covered by the band. There is enormous generosity and sympathy in their playing. They play to and for each other, as if nothing else really matters. Well, nothing else really matters except for you of course, the fan.
