Pyramid

Pyramid is much more than a hot new hip hop group. Pyramid is a concept that stems from a close relationship formed by a tight crew of MC's that share a common interest in music and performance. Founded in 1999 by four lyrically inclined and politically minded poets, or "4 Pharaohs", Pyramid has become a strong network of "Bricks". The journey began in Southern California with members from San Diego and Los Angeles counties, who have each become successful in sales, management, and networking, all the while continuing to pursue their true passion for hip-hop. In the past five years Pyramid has remained underground, performing at numerous organized events throughout their hometown ranging from house parties to larger venues such as Del Mar Fair, Carson Community Center, Niemans, Stage One, Canes, etc.

In addition, Pyramid has sold 1000 limited edition copies of a demo release entitled “Houses of Eternity” and are currently finishing their 2nd LP (The Foundation). Just like the Pyramids of Giza were built with a solid foundation, hard work, and have stood the test of time, so is the idea for this Pyramid. With a strong conscience, political, and positive message, Pyramid is able to blend a commercially accepted sound, along with exceptional delivery, to produce a truly enlightened style. Combine that with hard hitting beats, catchy hooks, and a live show to match, Pyramid has conjured up a fresh new style of hip-hop that will redefine the norm and make the accepted unacceptable.
