Artist Bio/Description: Ryan Bradley
Ryan Bradley is a Singing Guitarist/Songwriter and a pioneer in Honolulu's American Roots music community. Ryan's Singing and Electric guitar playing have found him sharing the stage with blues greats such as Ricky Gilbert (Motown Records), Steve Miles and Deacon Jones (Freddy King, John Lee Hooker, Curtis Mayfield, Pappo), as well as Alt-Country stars like Sean Thibadeaux (Eleven Gallon Hat), and Rick Shea (Dave Alvin, James Intveld, Rosie Flores).
With roots in El Paso and Bakersfield, Ryan spent most of his youth in Hawaii on the North Shore of Oahu. His First guitar at age 11, Ryan Learned Hawaiian songs and blues riffs from musicians around the island until singing and playing Fender Bass in punk rock bands while in high school. With a Degree in Guitar Performance, From the University of California, in 2003 Ryan returned to Hawaii and formed Suspicious Minds, Hawaii's most well known rockabilly band. Suspicious Minds released there self-titled debut in October of 2004 and Ryan's infectious song writing and burning telecaster solos found him taking over Hawaii' s College Radio Charts. With the intense buzz of Suspicious Minds in Hawaii's underground Music Scene came a land mark opening performance for Dashboard Confessional, and numerous television spots on Hawaii's 808 Scene. Ryan's knowledge of diverse musical styles gave him the foundation he needed to become the musical director for Hawaii Opera Theater's "Punk Rock Opera," Merging opera arias with a rock band. The Punk Rock Opera led to many performances with famed actress/vocalist Sherry Shoaling. (The Forbidden World of Don Tiki)
Currently Ryan Bradley is recording a solo album and Performing Around the Southern California Area With his Trio (Mario "Mean Mug" Montes -Drums, Ethan "Stretch" Cline- Upright Bass). You can occasionally catch him playing guitar with the Hawaiian Group "Ho'oleo" as well as "The Paul Navidad Studio Jazz Ensemble."
