Considering her success since graduating from UCLA nearly four years ago, Saba has proven to be productive in more ways than one. Unwilling to sacrifice the originality of her art form to industry rules, she created the home of Spinster Recordings for her 2003 EP, Letters to Doe, which served in part as the catalyst to her loyal following.
Recognized as one of the top 10 female singer/songwriters in the 2003 Pantene ProVoice Contest and Best Acoustic nominee at the 2004 SD Music Awards, it's hard to believe that her vocal abilities went almost unnoticed until she belted out KD Lang karaoke-style amongst friends at a L.A. club. For those in San Diego who have caught Saba live, you know that there is nowhere for her to go but up.
