When Strike Twelve takes the stage, they are not trying to prove that they are the coolest people or best musicians in the world. Above all else, they just strive to have fun, and hopefully to share some of that fun with the people in the crowd.
The band began in 2000 when three friends - Joe Treister (bass/vocals), Matt Turek (guitar/vocals), Dan Bahou (drums) - were all sophomores in high school. Upon the strong foundation of friendship, Strike Twelve quickly developed the unrivaled chemistry that defines their live shows. Now, eight years later, the band is stronger than ever, surviving college and medical school with the additional support of Joe's younger brother Andy on second guitar. Through their own hard work, they have played over 100 shows (incl. two small tours), had music featured on MTV's Next and X103.9 radio, and have self-released 3 CDs (including their 2006 studio EP "Born Naked, Die Naked"). They are currently recording material for their fourth record, which can be expected by the start 2009.
