Tayla
Artist Bio/Description: Tayla
Bio
"He was birthed from a family of sports, actors, and singers, so I guess a passion for expressing himself is a major characteristic of who he is.”
Since a sibling, you would hear (Lil Michael) running around singing, beating on walls creating what he thought was music; and to avail, maybe creating something for generations to enjoy. The church is where he and others began to realize a gift was at hand, and realized that all he needed was a few years in the Church choir. Those years came and he developed a talent that was destined for success if only he would pursue and display his gift. Michael Taylor continued to sing in his church choir developing skills that would later benefit him. After displaying his gift in his choir, recording artist Kim Shelby, niece of Mehilia Jackson gave him a chance as the opening act in her concert. Not only did he take advantage of the opportunity, but he ran with it and that same day was offered a deal with Wisdom Productions. Michael Taylor began to work with Charles Veal (Producer) and was added as the icing on the cake in a group by the name of TightRope. Not long after Michael and TightRope began to create a fan base that was astounding and later drawing the attention of One Stop Records/Bigwhale Distribution, who later signed TightRope to there label. Tightrope established a United States renowned name, by opening up for well-known artist such as: Shirley Ceasar, Brent Jones and the TP Mobb, Rome, 3rd Storee and various artists. In 2001 Tight Rope released their first album entitled "Take us out of Egyt" which receive critical acclaim in Atlanta and California. You can pretty much say that he is not a rookie. TightRope performed at various venues around California, such as: The Soho Club, Celebrity Centre, Los Angeles Sports Arena, Watts Summer Festival just to name a few. As years went by Tightrope and One Stop records eventually went seperate ways, which led Michael Taylor also known as Tayla to venture out and start a solo career of his own. Please Stay tuned if you're looking to hear good R&B music.
