Not like the pretentious rockers that plague the music industry, The Chain is fueled by a strict passion for sound that will make your pelvic bone ache. The term experimental music gets thrown around too much these days with no explanation of what type of experiment they are trying to conduct, but The Chain is a band full of mad scientist whose experiment is that of a dirty drug. The Chain is comprised of the creative abilities of Scott Gossett, blended with the melodic lyricism of Doug Penfield, all rounded out by the solid rhythm section of Pelham Britt and Anthony Gossett. The four members were born out of one idea “Music should be like apple jacks. You dont have to know WHY you like it you just do”. Whatever that means is the secret to their success or lack of. The creation of the band was standard. Man loves music. Man makes music. Man has friends. Man makes music with friends. It is as mathematical as Weezer.
