The Shamey Jays
Artist Bio/Description: The Shamey Jays
Born out of a swirling cloud of classic rock, funk, punk, roots and "alt-alt," The Shamey Jays appear like rock bodhisattvas to bring the rockin' jams to all who seek to drink the quenching nectar of tasty guitar and keyboard drenched hooks and fills, layered on a bed of tight rhythm and garnished with a crisp sprig of vocal harmonies.
Featuring seasoned veterans with a long history of gigging in various genres and scenes in San Diego and across the U.S. of A. this band is sure to put a smile on your face and a hinge on your boogie.
Wildly eclectic and decidedly original; in their music one can hear the faint echoes of The Stones, Little Feat, The Clash, Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam, The Who, The Band, The Jam and Elvis Costello.
Look for their first single, "Happy Is The New Down" online soon, and jump at the chance to see The Shamey Jays at a club near you.
