Artist Bio/Description: Xanthochroid
Xanthochroid (Zan-thuh-kroyd) was born when keyboardist Mas Rodaem and drummer Naes Revluc began to spontaeneously jam. They focused mainly on arranging video game songs from days past, but no intensive coordination or even ambition was present. A short-lived alliance with guitarist Jon Cassel sparked the duo's interest in becoming a band. Soon thereafter, friend and guitarist Nosirrah Eseer joined Mas and Naes for a jam session. Naes and Mas had started working on some material (the song that became Pangea) that the three were beginning to arrange. Grant Spicer jammed with the band for a few times, but he simply lacked experience. William Culver III came to a practice to hear what the three were up to and he liked what he heard; the idea of an upcoming show on the Fourth of July ensured his presence in the band. The name Xanthochroid was chosen because it sounds cool. Following their performance on that historic date, oppurtunities for real shows were realized. With the help of their friends in Deadman Walking, Xanthochroid landed a show at Coconuts and received a warm welcoming into the music industry. They then began to make some recordings which friend Andrew Van Vlear heard. He couldn't resist helping the band out with their producing and offered his help to record the band. Xanthochroid are now looking for a label and more places to play.
